This is a New Zealand’s Maori word for “Loop” or “Coil”.

It’s a spiral shape based on the appearance of a new unfurling Silver Fern Frond. 

The Koru is the symbol of Creation, New Beginning or Growth. 

When more than One Koru is used, it is a symbol of “Whanau” (Family coming together for more strength and harmony). 

This is why, Alternate has chosen Koru as our logo, as we aim to grow our family and yours together to be stronger, embracing and combining all of our strength and qualities as one.
